This publication is dedicated to the incident involving the Soviet submarine and the reactions of Sweden and the USSR. The book examines the state of the Soviet Navy, the submarine itself, the beginning of its voyage, and the events of October 28–29, which led to the mobilization of Swedish forces and the organization of the Soviet rescue expedition. Special attention is given to the participants in the events, the course of the tense standoff, security issues, radiation measurements, and the political and military context of the incident.
