MSC.1/Circ.1358/Rev.1. Recommendations on the safe use of pesticides in ships

The Maritime Safety Committee, at its sixty-second session (24 to 28 May 1993), approved the Recommendations on the safe use of pesticides in ships (MSC/Circ.612), proposed by the Sub-Committee on Containers and Cargoes at its thirty-second session.
The Maritime Safety Committee, at its eighty-seventh session (12 to 21 May 2010), approved the revised Recommendations on the safe use of pesticides in ships (MSC.1/Circ.1358) in pursuance of the requirement of SOLAS regulation VI/4, proposed by the Sub-Committee on Dangerous Goods, Solid Cargoes and Containers at its fourteenth session.
The Maritime Safety Committee, at its 110th session (18 to 27 June 2025), approved the revised Recommendations on the safe use of pesticides in ships to update the references to the relevant circulars, proposed by the Sub-Committee on Carriage of Cargoes and Containers at its tenth session, as set out in the annex.
Member Governments are invited to bring the revised Recommendations to the attention of competent authorities, mariners, fumigators, fumigant and pesticide manufacturers, and others concerned.
