The book is a guide to the safe loading and securing of cargo on a ship, prepared in accordance with international standards. It is designed for captains and crew, providing instructions on the proper operation and use of fastening devices. The captain is responsible for the safe placement and securing of cargo, as well as for the availability of a sufficient number of attachment devices on board. The Manual should be available for inspection by port and classification authorities. If it needs to be reviewed, changes should be agreed upon, including updates to information about new mounting devices and related certificates.
