The Deck Log Book is used to record all significant events and operations related to navigation and the condition of the vessel. It records information about the name of the vessel, the place of departure and destination, as well as the time and courses. Weather conditions such as sea, sky, visibility, atmospheric pressure, air and water temperature are recorded.
The log also contains information about the current current, tilt angle, logger readings, and notes on boat exercises. The records include data on the number of engine revolutions, the distance traveled in nautical miles, latitude and longitude, travel time and speed.
In addition, the duty officers and observers, the health status of the crew members are recorded, and at the end of each entry, the results are summarized, including the average values and the difference.
